Love is not Love...

"Love is an argument without end." The argument over love and its definitions have always been incomplete and partially informative. It is quite tough to arrive at definitive conclusions about this surreal feeling called love.

Love is probably the most used and, in some cases, abused word on this planet. We hear this word everyday very frequently on Radio, TV and Movies. Every human on this planet utters this word at-least a thousand times in his lifetime. Yet, whenever you ask any given person as to what love is, nobody can give you the perfect answer. Many Philosophers, Psychologists, Poets and Film-Makers have attempted to define Love with varying levels of success. Even a seasoned campaigner in any of the above mentioned areas, in my opinion, could grasp and explain its finest, truest and deepest meaning. Even the dictionary defines love in several ways in accordance to how it is being used. Love encapsulates a never ending story or epitomizes an unfinished book of experiences.

As strange as it might sound, I am somehow compelled by an intense curiosity to understand what love means to different people. We all live in love, grow and raise in love. Love could be a chance, a choice, a promise, a desire, a commitment or an obligation... however you put it, it is a heartfelt expression of an intense emotion which puts us in an edgy position where we might mistake it for infatuation and lust. My definition and understanding of love has changed over time. I discovered love as i grew and every-time i experienced a new face of it. So i truly can't ingratiate myself to give an expression to this strong yet strange emotion.

The definition of love encompasses many expressions of affection with varying intensity. Love includes feelings ranging from mild affection to intense sexual desire which makes it unusually broad. We all use this word "Love" too frequently. We say “I love you” to our loved ones, but say “I love chocolates”, "I would Love to watch that Film" to express a much less intense feeling. Well, I did walk up to girls in the past and said "I want to make love to you" and got punched in my face, but that's a different story.

Some people define love not by a feeling, but by actions. In this perspective, love isn’t what you say but it’s what you do and experience. So I somehow feel that love should be strictly a verb.

Somehow Love seems very simple to me. And I have given up on trying to find answers to simple questions. But I very well know that the most complex things in this world seem to be simplest.

since you had insisted for an opinion of mine i can say that love is just a word used for the convenience of a particular situation. i believe its a synonym of word "like" and definitely not so sacred as it is attributed to..:)
